Kaththi's 50th Day

After facing a lot of crisis over the release, the film was released on 22 October with huge expectations from the audience. It released above 1000 screens worldwide. This Tamil action thriller film is the collaboration of Director Murugadas and Illayathalapathy Vijay.

Today is the 50th day of kaththi movie in theatres. It is one of the most success stories in Tamil cinema. It has been well accepted by the audiences from Day 1. The film has gained more than 100 crore worldwide to emerge as the biggest grosser this year among all Tamil films. This is the second box office hit movie of Vijay, after the movie called “Thuppakki”. But it reached this box office hit within 12 days. For the other current generation stars, Kaththi's business would be a benchmark to hunt.

After Azhagiya Tamil Magan and Villu,  Vijay did dual roles (as Kathiresan and Jeevanantham) in this movie, for the 3rd time in his career.  While the latter two didn't make it well to Vijay and were spoiled by negative reviews. But this time, Kaththi has changed the thought of those reviews and marked as a first genuine dual role of vijay in his two decade successful long career.

Kaththi 50th day celebration will be in thiruneveli. Vijay and AR Murugadas will attend the function. In 'Vijay 58' also vijay featuring the mass hero in dual roles, so hope he would be looking to extend his 'double role success story'.
