Kaththi’s 100 crores marks

Vijay’s film kaththi reached 100 crores. This is the second box office hit movie of Vijay, after the movie called “Thuppakki”.  "Kaththi" has become the fourth Tamil movie to reach this hit after “Enthiran” and “Vishwaroopam”. But kaththi achieved this within 12days when compared to other movies.

After facing a lot of crisis over the release, the film was released on 22 October with huge expectations from the audience. It released above 1000 screens worldwide. This Tamil action thriller film is the collaboration of Director Murugadas and Illayathalapathy Vijay.

As per reports published in Kolly Insider: On the release day, the film earned 23.08 crore in which Tamil Nadu contribute a major part to it. The film made 12.5 crores in Tamil Nadu, 7+ crore overseas, 1.5 crore in Kerala, 1.58 crore in Karnataka and the rest from other parts of India.

By the end of the first weekend, "Kaththi" collected 36 crores from Tamil Nadu, around 4.5 crore from Karnataka and Kerala and 1.5 crores from other parts of the country. Totally, 42 crore. 24 crore from the international circuits. Within a week “Kaththi” has made 89.8 crore worldwide.

Total box office collection of the movie after 12 days in Tamil Nadu alone is 65.1 crore rupees and in foreign shores is 20.2 crores. In Kerala, Karnataka and North India, the movie has collected in 15.4 crore rupees.  The overall collections is 100.7 crore rupees.
