Kaththi hits Kerala box office

Kerala is one of the strong markets for Tamil films. Films of big stars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Vijay and Suriya take good openings at Kerala box office and continue to perform well .Vijay’s Kaththi which was released on October 22nd worldwide has taken record openings in kerala. Kaththi which was released in over 200 screens in Kerala had fantastic collections at the box office. This film has earned Rs 1.75 Crores in the first week. Vijay's last release "Jilla" was a box office hit. Promotional activities helped the film get positive pre-release buzz in the state. The distributor of kerala Shibu of Thameems Pictures said that they released Kaththi in 200 screens and has made an enormous profit.
